Trevista located in Pagham West Sussex a quiet “village” on the edge of Bognor Regis. It is close to several excellent pubs and restaurants ( The Bear, The Lamb, The Lion and The Inglenook Hotel etc.) and is within easy walking distance of the beach. Pagham is in an area which is a SSSI with Pagham Lagoon, Pagham Spit, and Pagham Harbour within easy reach. The Blue Flag beaches of Littlehampton and West Wittering are less 30 minutes away as is the interesting beach at Bracklesham Bay with seashell fossils buried in the sand.

Chichester, and Bognor Regis with their shopping (Sainsbury’s and Tesco supermarkets), railway stations and tourist facilities are both within 15 minutes drive. Portsmouth with it’s naval traditions and shopping at Gunwharf Quays is about 40 minutes away.

The Weald and Downland Museum is 30 minutes away as is Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre, and Arundel castle, and Goodwood and Goodwood House with motor racing and horse racing, there is also horse racing at Fontwell Park. The Chichester area is also rich in history with it’s medeival walls, and roman associations there are many Roman Villas in the area including Bignor and the impressive mosaic at Fishbourne Roman Palace.

There is a good farm shop nearby - Runcton Farm Shop and PYO, and also there is an organic farm, Leythorne Farm, which sells its own excellent meat and poultry products. Everyday needs can be met at Pagham itself which has a Co-Op, newsagents, Smallfry fish and chip shop and several takeaway restaurants which will deliver free to the local area.There is also Rose Green with Jordan’s Butchers which sells local meat and fresh fish, two Co-Op stores, a pharmacy, newsagents and post office/bakers and a greengrocers. Nearby in Nyetimber there is also a Tesco Express.

The area is rich in wildlife with the Chichester Harbour area, the peregrine falcons on Chichester Cathedral and it is less than an hours drive from the RSPB Reserve at Pulborough Brooks and the local nature reserve at Ambersham Common, also at Arundel is the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust Reserve. From the beach you can often see turnstones, egrets, spoonbills and little terns depending on the time of year.

Located near the South Downs the area is ideal for walkers and cyclists with the South Coast Cycle Route passing nearby, and a short journey by car from The Sussex Border Path, and The South Downs Way, there are also lots of local footpaths around the lagoon and spit, which are accessible from a short walk along the beach. This area is now under management of the RSPB and Trevista is now the closest holiday rental to the new RSPB Pagham Harbour Local Nature Reserve.
